Is there anyone who had an account on the http://ruleoftherose.proboards104.com/index.cgi forum? Anyone participated there? Perhaps, you still have an an access to it, or possess some info about it?
What's on your mind?
I made this video talking about the game and everything that happened to it when it released. I'm not sure how to share it soI figured I'd start here. There is also a spanish version if anyone is interested.
I've recently bought two RoR fanbooks (also called doujinshis).
The first one is titled "A miniature garden" and revolves around Eleanor.
The second is called "The hapless children" and focuses on Wendy.
The stories are of course non canonical but might still interest some people.
Since the books are in japanese, I asked redditfor help to traduce here if anyone is interested or willing to help.
I think it's wonderful that someone started a Rule of Rose wikia, but it's importan for the articles to separate the facts from the game, from personal opinions and theories. I don't think Diana was a "possible sociopath" because we don't know how things really were in Jennifer's forgotten past, what we are seeing is a distortion of what happened. You can use the Once Upon a Time chapter quotes as a reliable reference, and describe how characters are despicted in game, but you can not say how characters felt, what actually happened, etc. The sad truth is that we know little to nothing about this game and it's characters, but it's better to stay by facts than to make up things that never happened.
I was looking in to some more information on the game and came across a small bit of info from the Tokyo Game Show 2005 here. I'm unable to reaad Japanese though and was wondering if there was anyone here who could translate that photographed page to English? I also wanted to see if I could find the full document/catalog from the above link but haven't had any luck thus far, any help would be great :)
the blog 'Rule of Rose mysteries' is unavailable since long time, however I kept an archive of it. It would be a shame to lose it's content and here's the best site for shraing it. I hope you guys will find it helpful.

Sorry for not sharing it earlier. If link doesn't work or anything, just notify it.
The new game footers are brought to you by Encyclopedia Gamia and our very own Games Hub. The basic goal is simple: draw together Wikia communities in one location that enjoy the same genres and hopefully expose them to some new games and communities they might be interested in. Our secondary goal is to try and connect editors looking for help with members and administrators from other wikias who are interested in helping them out, whether it be with content, technical knowledge, or insight gleaned from running a community.
If you haven't already been approached, feel free to include your site in the submission section below in the genre you feel is most appropriate for the game you cover. Note that, with rare exception, a game should only be placed in one footer.
Here are some other things to consider:
- A member or members of the site should be willing to help those that might ask for assistance in creating their own wikia. Obviously this is at member discretion; members aren't absolutely required to answer every request for help, nor should they if the query is unrealistic and/or no one has the know-how.
- Any site participating in the footer will have a page created on the Games Hub for their franchise for more exposure. Members are encouraged to double-check this entry once it is live and may take ownership of the page.
- Any site participating in the footer will have each individual game in their franchise created on Encyclopedia Gamia for more exposure. Members are encouraged to double-check these entries once they are live and may take ownership of the pages.
- Backgrounds are transparent and links/text are set to match the site's settings.
- The new footers are mobile-friendly.
- Though intended to stretch the entire width of a main page, the footer can also fit into the left rail, if so desired.
In most cases a game can fit into multiple categories, so the best should be chosen when possible that most closely matches the genre. Rogue-like games, for instance, aren't included because many games feature stealth elements. Instead, they can be found within the Action-Adventure footer.
Should the situation arise where another footer is potentially needed, one may be created, but only if 1) the genre can't be included in any other category and 2) there are enough games for the footer.
For footers that were created and maintained by Wikia staff, these will be replaced with the new footers.
Footers created by users will not be touched at this time.
My new kitten, I named him Hairball.
I really loved the explanation here, but sadly I think the game itself didn't explained it very well, like, I'm actually pretty good about... hmm.... storyline understanding, but this time, at the end of the game I was a bit lost ._.
I. Blame. The. Game. Thx anyway. G'bye.
Ps: Bad english sorry (I'm brasilian)
He probably ran off because he noticed that Clara was pregnat. Clara then ran off maybe to find help or she saw it as an oppertunity to escape from Mr. Hoffman and his cruel ways.
Honestly the story when tould through out the game is very confusing, thank you for making this. The thing I hated most about the game was that Jennifer was 19 and all the orphanage kids where really young. She could of totally taken on all of the kids and not have to deal with all that crap.
