Barbara Barnes is a British television actress and voice actress. Barnes has played a number of roles in various British television shows between the 1980s and the 2000s. More recently, she has done voice acting for roles in video games and podcast series as well as served as a film crew member in the 2010s and 2020s. She is not related to a Canadian writer living in the UK under the same name. Her prominent roles are in British children's shows and the long-running British mystery-drama show, Poirot, which is based on a series of works by Agatha Christie.
Prior to Rule of Rose, she provided her voice for a newscaster in Sega's 2004 action-adventure and third-person shooter title, Headhunter: Redemption, for the PS2 and Xbox. In Rule of Rose, she is the voice of Meg, the Baroness of the Red Crayon Aristocrat Club. She did one writing role for another 2006 title, Cartoon Network Racing. Barnes later did two voice acting roles for two 2017 video games, SpellForce 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn.
